Flex-Focus Choreography with Rayka

Join Guest Instructor Rayka for a 2-hour pole-choreography class focused on flexy shapes!

Flex-Focus Choreography with @raykaflow: $55 + tax for the 2-hour workshop

Pre-Reqs: Level 1 and above, mixed level with beginner and advanced variations of moves. Heels optional but encouraged. Bring kneepads just in case!

We’ll focus on developing body flexibility and fluidity in movement — even for those who feel they’re “not flexible at all.” The goal is not just to stretch, but to help students feel their bodies, gain control in movement, and most importantly — understand how to safely and gradually develop flexibility so they can continue practicing on their own at home or in the studio.

Seminar structure:

Gentle, deep warm-up to prepare the body; Smooth leg stretches, hip opening, leg lifts, and work toward splits; Special focus on the spine, upper back, lower back, and mobility of the chest; Strengthening exercises for the muscles that support flexibility and fluidity (including core and back); Floorwork: rolls, poses, waves — in a feminine, grounded style; Exploration of a few light but expressive pole elements — including some that can be done off the floor (with beginner-friendly options); Connecting elements into flow and transitions;

Choreography: first danced barefoot/in socks to explore form and fluidity; Then — dancing the same choreography in heels, with focus on presentation and exotic style details; Dancing to music, with an option to record the choreography — so students can review it and reuse the combos in their own dance and future practice. My focus is to give students not just moves, but an understanding of how to make them feel light, feminine, and confident — even without existing flexibility.

This seminar is about reconnecting with the body, building confidence, and finding freedom in movement.
